Equitable Services for Private Nonprofit Schools
Local Education Agencies (LEA) who receive federal funds are required to provide equitable services for eligible private nonprofit school children, teachers, and other educational personnel within Valley View ISD boundaries. Services provided by the LEAs for private school participants must be designed to meet educational needs and supplement the educational services of the private schools. The LEA must spend the funds on behalf of the private schools, and the funds must never be given to a private nonprofit school.
The Valley View Independent School District (VVISD) has submitted e a consolidated application for federal program funding for the 2022-2023 school year to the Texas Education Agency. The purpose of this notice is to identify the programs for which we are applying, to inform you of the eligibility criteria for private, nonprofit schools (PNPs), and to invite your participation.
If your non-public school is accredited, licensed, or otherwise operates in accordance with Texas state law and you are interested in utilizing ESSER funding, please contact Dr. Rosemarie Gomez, Director of Special Programs at 956-340-1050.
If your school is not interested in participating in these programs, return your Intent to Participate form stating that particular choice. Intent to Participate forms can be sent via email to rgomez@vviewisd.net and or by mail to:
