Local author Thomas Ray Garcia inspired ECC students who participated in the recent creative writing contest with a special talk about his journey as a writer. Garcia, known for his compelling storytelling and dedication to the craft, shared valuable insights on the writing process, overcoming obstacles, and finding one's unique voice. This event offered a unique opportunity for aspiring authors to gain firsthand knowledge from a successful writer and to imagine their own path to becoming published authors one day. Garcia's visit motivated and guided the students as they continued to hone their writing skills and pursue their literary dreams.
